COLUMBUS CHROME MODEL M - MFS126

$495.00

Columbus is one of my favorite machines, and I have many in my collection. This is a chrome plated Model M, first minted in 1930. This is an early version with the base lock located on the underside of the baseplate. It was originally made to vend peanuts or other bulk items, but gumballs go through it very well. This machine is for sale in the same condition I got it. I won't rechrome or repaint a machine unless it is a total wreck. I think it could be buffed and it would remove much of the minor pitting, but at the risk of changing the character of the machine. The #4 globe is original to the machine, with a fair but faded decal. There is a chip in the cast iron lid which is turned away from the front. The machine works with a penny. The hold down rods appear to be newer. If you would like more photos, email me at info@bubogum.com with your request. Shipping in the US is a flat $25.
